Sunny Deol’s much awaited war sequel Border 2 is finally arriving in theatres on January 23, 2026. The advance booking has kicked off strongly and the film is now heading towards a massive opening day. The Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh co-starrer has sold around 1,45,000 tickets at the national chains before release.
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and JP Films, the film is one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
No Cancellation Of Morning Shows Of Border 2
There is murmur in trade and couple of ‘usual’ suspects shared on social media that morning shows of Border 2 will be cancelled due to ‘technical glitches’. They even specified the timing and mentioned that 9 AM, 10 AM and 11 AM shows will face this issue.
But a source close to production house informed us that it’s completely baseless rumours. On contrary, shows for the much awaited films will function as per the schedule. Press show of the film is slatted for 9:15 AM at a multiplex in Juhu.
Lately there have been malpractices by selected section of media to bring down the film for silly reasons – no invitation for press show, no paid campaign or just to get traction.
Border 2 Advance Booking Numbers
The film has registered solid sales at the national chains crossing 1,45,000 tickets. Here is the breakdown of final advance booking Wednesday midnight:

Cinepolis: 29,000
Total: 1,45,000 tickets
